Cool White™ is a low bleed, fast flashing, low tack, flexible curing, non-phthalate plastisol screen printing ink. It has a creamy great body, suitable for both auto and manual presses, providing results over a wide range of substrates.
Cool White™ is an ultra low bleed ink, not a non-bleed ink that makes printing opaque white easy. Hand printing is easier as less squeegee pressure is needed. Automatic equipment also benefits with lower squeegee pressure settings improving screen life, squeegee durability, and overall print quality.
Cool White™ is a FlexCure™ products, which gives you a flexible curing range. It can be cured from 275°F to 325°F (135°C to 163°C), so you get flexibility performance options and energy savings.
Cool White™ compared to other opaque whites, allows using a finer screen mesh with the same opacity as a lower, more open mesh. Less ink will be used; a real money saver with beneficial cost per print impact AND a softer hand on flashed fabrics.
Spot Flashing with Cool White™ will spot dry, with a very low after flash tack. Dwell time does depend on the spot dryer used, so you may have to lower the heat of the spot cure unit to avoid making the ink tacky. When you spot dry, you are only partially fusing or gelling the surface of the ink. The ink should be just dry to the touch, with no lift-off, but not totally fused. Totally fusing the underprint white can cause inter-coat adhesion problems with the inks printed on top of the white ink. Final fusing or curing in the dryer comes at the end.
