Ultimate Black

$359.62

Ultimate Black™, a member of the Performance Pro™ Blacks, is a non-phthalate, high pigment, fast flashing, low tack plastisol screen printing ink. Depending on the amount of ink laid down both matte or glossy results are possible. It’s deep black color is very creamy, short bodied and is easy to print on both automatic or manual presses

Ultimate Black™, the next generation of what was called Jet Black, was formulated to make printing opaque black easy and hand printing is less tiring. Automatic equipment benefits as well when adjusted to lower pressure settings that improve screen life and squeegee durability.

Easily use finer screen mesh for the same opacity as expected from other opaque black inks at lower mesh counts plus
fabric penetration also comes with using those finer mesh counts … the real strength of this ink.

Ultimate Black is a Flexcure ink. It supports reduce curing temperature at 275ºF-325ºF (135ºC-163ºC) and allows quick spot curing.

Spot Flashing with Ultimate Black will spot dry, with a very low after flash tack. Dwell time does depend on the spot dryer used, so you may have to lower the heat of the spot cure unit to avoid making the ink tacky. When you spot dry, you are only partially fusing or gelling the surface of the ink. The ink should be just dry to the touch, with no lift-off, but not totally fused. Totally fusing the under print white can cause inter-coat adhesion problems with the inks printed on top of the white ink. Final fusing or curing in the dryer comes at the end.
